Representation
Ad #1: Tide
This ad appeals especially to moms from 30 to 50 years old that have children and deal with the same problems. this advertisements represents femininity as it's finest, this is represented by all the pink in the scene, for example the pink that she is wearing and the abundance of pink in the room. It also represents femininity how the room is completly organized, for example: how the flowers are in complete symmetry in the scene, the same color, the same jar, and perfectly placed, this means it appeals mostly to females. This advertisement appeals to the middle social class since the product is accessible to most of the public and the environment which is the scene taking place is in an ordinary home. This ad shows to white American daughter and mother, therefore it appeals white Americans. Some effects upon audiences from seeing this commercial is probably anger from the LGBTQ community since the mom doesn't like for her daughter to wear "man like cloth".
Ad #2: Axe
This ad appeals mostly to teens and adults from a range of 18 to 50, that are looking for a good fragance. It represents masculinity as it's finest by showing a huge amount of women running wildly to a shirtless man. The man is shown as a powerful entity showing domination and superiority. This advertisement is for middle class men since the product is accessible to anyone one, and it shows that "everyone can have the same power he has". This commercial appeals to men of all races but it's for mostly white males. Some effects upon audiences from seeing this commercial could be anger as well from the feminist community since the females are used as objects who chase a man that smells nice, but it can have a glorified view from a man perspective.
